...the cliff notes
BACK IN THE DAY...
I was born and raised in Livingston, NJ by two incredible parents who inspired me to follow my dreams. I've always had a strong imagination and a passion for creating something out of nothing. Art was the one thing that always came natural to me.
When I turned 12, I got my first Hi-8 camera and from that moment I was hooked. I was fortunate to go to Livingston High School where they had (at the time) a state of the art TV studio. Once I walked into the door, I was immediately drawn to the art of production. I learned the basics of the industry from some wonderfully talented teachers.
After high school, I went to Monmouth University where I graduated with a bachelors degree in Communication with a focus in TV & Radio. Monmouth has one of the best student-run TV stations, called Hawk TV. Professors and students work side-by-side to create top quality productions to be broadcasted to the entire campus. This university supplied me with the knowledge and experience to propel me into becoming a professional in the entertainment industry.
Since graduating from Monmouth University in 2008, I have been working in the TV industry in both the New York and Los Angeles markets. The road has not been pretty and I have so many great stories that have pushed me forward to achieve each of my goals.
I realized quickly that it takes strength and perseverance to embrace the extreme highs and lows of production. No matter what, the experiences have always been worth the effort. I have met some exceptional people and have been to the most extraordinary places. I never take anything for granted, embrace culture and continue to grow and learn everyday. Life is a wonderful thing and I want to continue to share my craft with the world.
